# Kochi Tech Group

A not-for-profit community that studies computing from first principles. We read primary sources, work through the proofs, and measure before we claim.

Kochi, Kerala, India.

## What we study

1. **Systems programming**: Compilers, runtimes, operating systems and the hardware underneath.
2. **Enterprise computing**: Distributed systems, data platforms and software that runs businesses.
3. **Machine learning**: Models that learn from data, and the engineering to train and serve them.
4. **Statistics**: Inference, uncertainty and knowing what the data actually says.
5. **Deep learning**: Neural networks, from the mathematics to the GPU kernels.
6. **Mathematics**: The foundations: linear algebra, probability, logic and proof.
7. **Philosophy**: Mind, meaning and knowledge, and what computing tells us about them.
